Compare Any Two Pages – Visual Diff for Confluence

See exactly what changed between Confluence pages.

Choose two different pieces of Confluence content—or two versions of the same content—and review meaningful text, structure, table, media, link, and macro changes in one focused workspace.

Compare Any Two Pages reads content the current user can access and does not edit, merge, or roll back the compared pages.

Two entry points

Start from the place that matches your task.

Open the app page when neither side is fixed, or start from a Confluence page when that page should already be selected.

From the Compare Any Two Pages app page

Open Compare Any Two Pages from Confluence Apps, then choose the Before and After content and version on both sides.

Use the app page entry

From a page’s More actions menu

On a Page, Live doc, or Blog post, open the ••• menu and choose Compare this page. The current content is preselected.

Use the current-page entry

Comparison experience

Review meaningful changes without losing document context.

Review highlighted changes in either reading mode, using the current/total position and Previous/Next controls to move through the result.

Compare pages or versions

Choose different content or lock either side to a specific historical version.

Unified and side-by-side views

Read changes in one continuous document or align Before and After in two panes.

Navigate every change

Use the fixed current/total indicator and Previous/Next controls to review changes in order.

Preserve complex evidence

Keep tables, links, media, macros, and unsupported content visible through safe read-only fallbacks.

Supported content

Compare the Confluence content teams actually use.

The same picker and comparison workspace support current content and historical versions.

  • Page
  • Live doc
  • Blog post
  • Different content
  • Historical versions

Read-only by design

  • Uses the current user’s Confluence access
  • Does not write back, merge, or roll back pages
  • Stores recent comparison references, not page bodies
  • Shows explicit fallbacks when content cannot be rendered safely

Choose the right Compare Any Two Pages entry point.

Follow the illustrated guides for the app page and the current-page More actions menu.
